English version at the end of this post

Material:
- 3 Styroporkegel in 2 Größen
- altes Buch
- grüne Bastelfolie
- Kreisstanzer 1inch
- 3 Weinkorken
- 3 kleine Baumscheiben
- 3 Zahnstocher
- 6 dünne Magnete
- Bohrer
- Schere
- Bleistift
- Bastelleim
- Heißkleber
- evtl. Glitzerkleber

[Advertisement – without assignment] I was once again in my favorite shop in Berlin, Modulor. I could put everything in my basket and I have to control myself to not spend hundreds of Euros. But what I had to take with me on my last visit were 3 styrofoam cones which I finally wanted to transform into Christmas trees. I write “finally” because this idea has been slumbering in me for years. I have often seen such trees on blogs and Pinterest and wanted to create my own version. With my favourite material: old books:-) But I couldn’t decide if I wanted to have the trees with trunks or without them. I think both versions are great. So I thought up something how to have both at the same time, you can transform the trees, sometimes with, sometimes without trunk. The trunk consists of wine cork and small tree slices. Everything I had left from other crafts, as well as the rest of green craft foil which I could finally process here. What you also need to make those beautiful little trees you can read here:
Material:
- 3 styrofoam cones in 2 sizes
- old book
- green craft foil
- circle punch 1inch
- 3 wine corks
- 3 small tree slices
- 3 toothpicks
- 6 thin magnets
- drill
- scissors
- pencil
- craft glue
- hot glue
- possibly glitter glue
First punch a lot of circles out of the book pages and the foil with the circle puncher. Start sticking the circles to the styrofoam cone at the bottom, always a row of circles overlapped by the next row. Glue 1 circle over the top of the cone. Stick circles in rows until the whole cone is covered. Cut small stars out of the foil, the green foil also has a golden side, so you can use it right away. Stick the stars on the toothpicks. Press the toothpicks into the tip of the cones. Glue the corks to the middle of the tree slices with hot glue, drill or cut a small hole in the top of the cork. Glue a magnet into the hollow. Press a small depression into the underside of the cone and glue a magnet into it. Observe the poles of the magnets before gluing them.
I decorated the small tree with glitter. For the cones with book pages, craft glue is enough. The craft foil sticks better with hot glue. For the magnets and corks I also used hot glue.
Now you can remove the trunks, decorate them this way and that way.
I love your trees. So creative. Congratulations, you are being featured on Thursday Favorite Things. I hope you stop by. https://www.eclecticredbarn.com/2019/12/thursday-favorite-things.html
