English version at the end of this post

Material:
- bunte Stoffreste
- Häschenvorlage
- Karton
- Klebestift
- Vlieseline
- Kreidemarker
- Stoffschere
- Nähmaschine
- passendes Garn
- Füllwatte
- Pinzette
- Nähnadel
- Zahnstocher

[Advertisement – without assignment] Another quick idea for Easter I have to offer. How about cute little bunny flower plugs made of scraps of fabric? Fabric scraps, filling, nonwoven interlining and a few toothpicks – that’s all you need. And, oh yes, a sewing machine. I got the idea for the plugs when my neighbour gave me a moss heart as a present. Actually she had got it as a present and couldn’t do anything with it. Since she knows that I like to craft, she left it to me. Of course I took it right away. I thought you could make a nice Easter decoration out of it. An old enamel bowl was quickly found, the discount store still had Easter bells on sale, I planted them in the enamel bowl so that the moss heart still had room. Now I just needed some decoration for the heart and that’s when I had the idea for the fabric bunnies that you can place in the moss heart with the help of a toothpick so that it looks like they take a rest on it – or they hang around on a mossy meadow. The bunnies are also quickly sewn, you can also mount them on shashlik skewers and then you have something for other flower pots. Whoever gives away a flower greeting this Easter can also give away such a sweet bunny – with Corona-conditional distance of course 🙂
Material:
- colorful fabric scraps
- bunny template
- cardboard
- glue stick
- nonwoven fusible interlining
- chalk marker
- fabric scissors
- sewing machine
- matching thread
- filling
- tweezers
- sewing needle
- toothpicks
It is the same bunny template I have already shown you on my postcards, so see here how to get the template.
Cut the rest of the fabric per bunny 2x roughly according to the template, iron with fusible interlining from the left side. This prevents the fabric from fraying at the edges, because the seam is on the outside of the bunnies. Use a chalk marker to transfer the template of the bunnies onto a fabric, draw on the right side. Place the two sides of the fabric left on top of each other, topstitch the bunny all around the marker, leave a small gap at the bottom. Cut out the bunnies with a seam allowance of 3mm. Use tweezers to insert the filling into the bunny. Close the gap with a hand stitch and insert toothpick through the hand seam. Ready are the flower plugs in bunny shape.
But now I wish you a great and
relaxing Easter. Even if it will only take place in the closest
circle of the family, it will still be good and soon other times will
come. Hang in there and stay healthy!
